MINI FEST OPENED IN NIS

25.02.2009.

Last night, in the cinema of Dom Vojske Srbije, Mini Fest was opened. This seven day manifestation with 14 great movies of the latest worldwide production will take place in Nis. PhD Igor Novakovic, the president of Palilula Municipality – Nis municipality under which patronage this manifestation was organized, opened the event.

`Dear visitors, cinema lovers, Nis is tonight on the way of taking over European cultural scene – emphasized the president. Cultural values moved their directions from the center to the south of Serbia. Mini Fest once again opened our question of the state of cultural politics. Following the efforts to preserve true values and our cultural heritage Palilula Municipality has fully supported the organizers of this event. Long live film, let us give cinema a chance! Welcome back to cinema!`

THE MONTH OF PUBLISHERS`

23.02.2009.

Starting from February 23 to 25 the promo place with the books from publishing house `Beogradska knjiga` will be in Palilula Municipal building next to Service and information desk.

In this way Palilula Municipality almost first takes the place in the action called `THE MONTH OF PUBLISHERS` - true novelty coming from NKC this year.

The aim of this action is popularization of the books and making them more available for our citizens, first regarding the young: pupils and students. This is the main reason this project idea practically insists on public places in the city like municipal buildings, schools and faculties are.

MINI FEST PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED

19.02.2009.

With the motto: Let`s give cinema a chance!, starting from February 25 to March 3 2009, and in the same time while the same manifestation is in Belgrade, Mini Fest will take place in Nis.

14 movies will be played, all of the latest worldwide screen production. The film projections will be from 20 00 and 22 00 hours and tickets are available at the ticket office (Dom vojske) starting from February 19 from 17 hours. The ticket price is 200 dinars. With every ticket ProVision gives a dvd film for present. This was all said at the press conference in `Dom vojske`.

Srdjan Savic, general manager of NKC, Dejan Dabic, editor of film programme of NKC, Dragan Arsovic, producer of `ProVison` spoke to the press.

FREE ACCESS TO INFORMATION

17.02.2009.

Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities in the cooperation with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, Central European and Eurasian Law Division (CEELI), and through financial assistance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the (SCTM), has launched the “Free Access to Information” Project. The goal of the project is to support better understanding and more effective implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance of the Republic of Serbia at local level.

Palilula Municipality was represented by Marina Blecic and Milan Andrejic - member of Municipal Council.

COOPERATION OF PALILULA AND CENTER FOR VINICULTURE

14.02.2009.

The representatives of Palilula Municipality visited this institution celebrating Saint Trifun (February 14) also the Saint Day of Center for viniculture and wine production. Delegation of Palilula Municipality consisted of PhD Novakovic -Municipality president, Djurdjevic - Assembly president, Ilic-head of Municipal administration, Marina Blecic and Municipal councilors: Milos Stojkovic, Boban Mikic, Milan Stevanovic and Milan Andrejic.

The guests first visited wine cellar and lab of the Center and then the president together withMilos Ristic the deputy of general manager of the Center, traditionally cut the vine (tree) in one of the best vineyards . They both wished to improve vine production in this area.

BABY TRIPLETS FROM PASI POLJANA

Palilula Municipal councilors visited a family with three children and new born triplets: Petar, Pavle and Aleksandra

Petar, Pavle and Aleksandra were born on December 1 2008. They are from Pasi Poljana, Palilula Municipality and the babies already have older sisters: Maja (3), Milica (5) and Anka (7). The parents of the children Danijela Markovic, geography teacher and Srecko Jelic postal technician, are unemployed, but with great love take care of their family.

Delegation of Palilula Municipality, municipal councilors Zorica Stoiljkovic and Milos Stojkovic visited new born triplets and in this way continued the realization of local government mission to be with the citizens and help them in the way Municipality can.

MEETING OF THE COMMISSION FOR ECONOMY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND AGRICULTURE

11.02.2009.

Second meeting of the Commission for economy, entrepreneurship and agriculture of Palilula Municipality was held on Wednesday February 11 in Municipal building. Boban Mikic Municipal councilor, president of the Commision Ratko Jovanovic and the members: Jelena Cvetkovic, Nebojsa Lazic, Sasa Blagojevic, Ivan Stojanovic and Zoran Zivkovic were all present at this meeting.

The possibilities of the work for this Commission were discussed during the meeting, all aiming at creating better atmosphere for development, as well as, for reducing the number of unemployed people from Palilula municipal territory.

PALILULA ETNO ASOCIATION FOUNDED

09.02.2009.

After the initiative of 15 people- future founders on February 9 2009 PALILULA ETNO SOCIETY was formed with the aim to cherish old crafts and traditional cultural and spiritual values of Serbian nation.

Ana Borovac was elected for the president of the Association assembly and Ljubodrag Vukic for deputy president. The founders then elected five members of the Managing board: Nenad Jovanovic (president of the Board), Zorica Nikolic Pejic (deputy president), Dragan Stojanovic (member), Zvonko Sladic (member) and Jelena Vlajisavljevic (member). Members of the Supervising board of newly founded association are: Boban Mikic, Zoran Jovancic and Vesna Zivkovic.

TОURISM IN COUNTRYSIDE – EXPECTATIONS

05.02.2009.

Boban Mikic, Municipal councilor participated at the meeting of tourist economy representatives of the City of Nis that was organized in Nis Regional chamber of commerce, organized by TON Touristic organization of Nis due to the 10^th International fair of tourism, ecology and sport. Vladimir Jovanovic, general manager of TON introduced the participants with working programme of organization in 2009. Jubilee type of tenth fair in line - International fair will take place in Nis from April 8 to April 10 in Cair hall organized by TON (www.nistourism.org.yu), Sport union of Nis and Ekopolis net (www.ekopolis.rs). Like over the previous years it has been planed to present all Nis municipalities, as well as tourist agencies.

EXHBITION OF GERMAN FILM POSTERS OPENED

04.02.2009.

German sound film classics – international film manifestation, was opened in NKC on Wednesday Febryary 4. Many visitors were welcomed by PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality. The president expressed his appreciation to Goethe Institute, Ecopolis net and NKC, emphasizing the importance and the role of international cultural cooperation and the way it could be easy developed with the partnership of local government, institutions and organizations.

Through ten posters – the most famous film posters of German company UFA from the 30s and 40s of the previous century, we had a chance to see a sort of documentary version of film history. The authors of these film posters were famous: Robert L. Leonard, Theo Matejko, Josef Fenneker, Werner Graul, Heinz Schulz-Neudamm and Peter Pewas.

YOUR FIVE MINUTES

03.02.2009.

Supporting `Your five minutes – someone’s whole life!`, the action of the Institute for blood transfusion - Nis in Palilula municipal building on February 3 this year, the medical team of this Institute was on duty.

The members of Municipal authorities of Palilula also contributed to this humane action and were among the donors.

This Institute organizes the action of blood donating twice a year in February and August.

PALILULA - THE HOST OF GERMAN SOUND FILM CLASSICS

International movie manifestation GERMAN SOUND FILM CLASSICS- the films of the 30s and 40s of the last century, takes place in Nis from February 4 to February 8 in NKC, Palilula Municipality. This information was released today at press conference in Palilula Municipality.

About this unique event the president of the Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic and Srdjan Savic, general manager of NKC spoke to the press. The programme was helped by Ekopolis net and with great help of Goethe Institute in Belgrade, all with the support of NKC and under the sponsorship by Palilula Municipality. By favour of this manifestation sponsors all projections are free for public.
